Sunny D Book Spree – Save labels from Sunny D beverage bottles. Must be from bottles greater than 12 oz. size (individual serving labels cannot be used). Submit labels in a baggie or envelope with teacher’s name, and be sure the label contains the UPC code. Each class that turns in 20 labels (that’s only one label per student for most classes!) will receive 20 free books from Sunny D. Coupons for Sunny D can be found at SunnyD.com/bookspree. Deadline for Sunny D labels is November 19, 2010. Box Tops – Once again, we are collecting Box Tops. These can be found on a host of products, including those from General Mills, Pillsbury, Kleenex, Ziplock, & Avery. Box Tops should be submitted to your child’s teacher in groups of 50 in a baggie or envelope with the child’s and teacher’s name. They can be turned in at any time and are worth $.10 each for our school! Campbell’s Labels/UPC’s – found on Campbell’s, Swanson, and Pepperidge Farm products, to name a few. Even individual-serving size bags of Goldfish have UPC codes on them, and those UPC’s are all that are needed to help our school! Please submit in a baggie or envelope labeled with your child’s and teacher’s name. These labels have no cash value, but can be redeemed by the school for classroom supplies and equipment. Tyson A+ Labels – found on many Tyson chicken products. The entire box or bag flap with the A+ logo must be submitted to be valid…when in doubt, send the whole box or bag and we’ll trim it for you! These can be submitted at any time in a baggie or envelope with child’s and teacher’s name. These are worth $.24 each to our school, but we must have at least 100 to redeem them for cash! Board Policy: "The District shall obtain criminal history record information on persons the District intends to employ and on persons who intend to serve as volunteers for district campuses." All volunteers at Lewisville ISD campuses must complete a criminal history background check, online, at the LISD website.
How often does the District require a Criminal History Check to be run?: The District required ALL volunteers to reapply during the 2009-2010 school year. Volunteer applications will remain active for 3 years from the application date. A volunteer must reapply every 3 years in order to be considered for volunteer approval. If there is information or a question about a criminal history, the District will run a new background prior to the three-year renewal.
